Work to be Uncomfortable

If it where possible to summarize all my 12 daily intentions into one, this intention may very well be the one that does just that. Daily Intention number 10 is to ‘Make Yourself Uncomfortable. Challenging yourself daily Is incredibly powerful and can truly make a big difference in your life.

It is human nature to seek comfort and avoid discomfort. We tend to stick to what we know and avoid situations that might be challenging or difficult. However, while staying in our comfort zone may seem like the easy and safe option, it can also limit our personal growth and prevent us from reaching our full potential.

This is why it is important for us to work at doing things each day that make us uncomfortable. When we challenge ourselves and step outside of our comfort zone, we can experience personal growth, build resilience, and develop new skills and abilities.

One of the biggest benefits of doing things that make us uncomfortable is that it helps us to develop resilience. Resilience is the ability to bounce back from setbacks and challenges, and it is something that we all need in order to succeed in life. When we push ourselves out of our comfort zone, we learn to cope with uncertainty and develop the mental toughness needed to overcome obstacles.

Doing things that make us uncomfortable can also help us to develop new skills and abilities. When we challenge ourselves to try new things, we are forced to learn and adapt. This can lead to personal growth and can open up new opportunities that we may not have considered before.

In addition, stepping outside of our comfort zone can help us to overcome fear and anxiety. Many of us have fears and anxieties that hold us back in life. By facing these fears head-on, we can develop the courage and confidence needed to overcome them.

Finally, doing things that make us uncomfortable can help us to break out of our routines and experience new things. When we get stuck in our routines, we can start to feel stagnant and uninspired. By trying new things and challenging ourselves, we can break free from these patterns and experience new and exciting things.

In conclusion, while it may be tempting to stay within our comfort zone, doing things that make us uncomfortable can be incredibly beneficial. By developing resilience, learning new skills, overcoming fears and anxieties, and breaking out of our routines, we can experience personal growth and reach our full potential. So, challenge yourself each day to step outside of your comfort zone and see where it takes you
